Legal & Regulatory Working Group (LRWG) – <\/strong>2015-2018<\/em><\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Legal & Regulatory Working Group (LRWG) has been mandated to identify all legal and regulatory issues related to Canada\u2019s move from a securities settlement period of three days (T+3) to two days (T+2).<\/p>\n

The Canadian T+2 initiative is being coordinated in concert with the United States.\u00a0 The joint Canadian-American implementation date is targeted for Q3-2017.<\/p>\n

Composition<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LRWG membership is open to individuals representing firms and organizations with an interest in the T+2 initiative.\u00a0 These firms and organizations include the buy-side, custodians, sell-side, service providers, industry utilities, self-regulatory organizations, and regulatory bodies.\u00a0 New members may join the LRWG at any point.<\/p>\n

Reporting Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LRWG reports to the CCMA T+2 Steering Committee (T2SC) via the LRWG Chair.<\/p>\n
